It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

All around our school
Take a look in the hall and then
Amazing once again
The children with their songs and lines stand cool!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Trees in every room
But the greatest sight to see
Is the challenge activity
Children reaching targets with a zoom!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

We’ve celebrated the fair

Secret gifts, photos and stalls

The sound of cheery calls

All around amidst the winter air!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Soon the hols will start
After concerts and party time
Children singing rhyme
Ready to tear the wrappings all apart!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Soon the year will begin
And the thing that will make it fine
Is the children who always shine

As we welcome 2016 in!

Not quite the New Year but there is definitely a Christmassy feel in school this week. Last week our brilliant Y6 learners sang and behaved beautifully in Norbury Church for the annual cluster carol service.

Today we saw the first of two performances of Straw and Order by our very wonderful Y1 and Y2 learners who simply rose to the occasion.

There’s another delightful slice to enjoy tomorrow followed by two more performances from our youngest learners as we join them for a Christmas Singalong. Phew!

If that weren’t enough to be  enjoying we have our carol service for KS2 at Norbury Church on Thursday afternoon.

As for all the fun of the fair – Friday’s Christmas Fair was a massive success – thank you to all involved in making it happen. We raised over £4,000 which will help give the children even more exciting learning experiences.

We have had a very successful 2015 and we look forward to a year ahead with further adventure and opportunity.

May I take this opportunity to wish everyone a very restful holiday break and look forward to a happy, healthy and harmonious ( in the words of the play) 2016.
